Are you complaining?

Are you complaining? Why and to whom all? We complain that at school we should learn, that at work we should work and because we should be the man. The average believer and the average seeker dream that a higher power will give them comfort of health and finance, and that, if possible, all of these will be given to their descendants as well. An average person who meditates strives rather to release his ego than to be released from the ego. As much as we talk about the liberation of the mind, the vast majority of us who meditate are, in fact, paranoiacally frightened from the essence of meditation – the release from the mind. The mind is the instrument of prakrti, an instrument of limited and transient. As such, by its restlessness, it is the killer of the consciousness which is an instrument of infinite and imperishable.
